In 1996 I graduated from University in the States on an athletic scholarship with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Concentration in Radio/Television and Coaching Minor. After my competitive sports career (Lacrosse All American-Center, Canadian National Team Member) I nestled into the work force starting with Metroland, a division of Toronto Star in advertising. Soon after, I assisted the (CLA) Canadian lacrosse sector as the Media Relations Director and became the Marketing Director for the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA).
In my travels I have been able to learn from great people who have given me tremendous opportunity.
680 News, Peter Gross assisted me with developing my broadcast skills at the Breeder Crown, Blue Jays and Raptor Games. Through this work, I was able to develop my relationships good friend Herbie Kuhn, Bradley J Grant and other wonderful people. It was a great honor when Phil Dugus of CBC Radio Sports invited me on the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic News Team.
During this time Aerial Promotions was creating sport programs for hockey, lacrosse and celebrity events. I traveled to Hawaii for three years to shoot the Warburg Pincus Hawaii Invitational Lacrosse Tournament. Continued to shoot for Sponsors and assist the National Lacrosse League with images from Maple Leaf Gardens and World Cup Lacrosse. Photography was always a part of our service to graphically enhance the end product. Along with technology our images just keep getting better.
The dawn of the new millennium brought me to Whistler, BC where AP developed the Bacardi Whistler Experience Program for three years. Of course I skied! In a whirlwind adventure, The advertising agency I was contracting to brought me back to Toronto. Bacardi was my main account, along with Universal Studios and others.
Advertising is a demanding business, but with my experience I felt that I can be more successful as an independent freelancer. I am confident in sales, marketing and creative. I am honest and forthcoming with all my clients. I am constantly learning to improve and meet my personal and career goals.
I am very passionate about my work and expect the people who I represent to be as focused as myself. I am known to have fun and let my hair down, but not until the job is done and done well!
Let’s face it, time is valuable and needs to be used efficiently. I let all my clients know that I have a beautiful family. I am very professional and feel that it is necessary to have a balanced lifestyle. At the end of the day I am going home to my family and everything that I have done that day needs to be accountable and time worth spent.
